Have you been newly diagnosed with Crohn's Disease? If so, you're
If you've been newly diagnosed with Crohn's Disease, you have a lot of questions and you're going through an array of emotions. You're probably wondering what lies ahead, and what changes you're going to make in your life. That's why this website was created - to give you the knowledge.
I wish I had this when I was first diagnosed all those years ago. At that time there was no internet (for the public anyway). Yes, I'm an old timer at this.
So what are some of the things you need to do? Two of the most important are for you to arm yourself with knowledge and the other is to find the support you'll need to help you cope with the disease. This site can help on both accounts. (For additional knowledge, sign up for our Free monthly newsletter? To read about it, click here. )
Over 50 people have answered questions to a survey on this site.
We'll use the answers to two of the three questions to help you get started.
The first question is, "What have you done to help you cope with the disease?" The second question we will use the answers to is, "What suggestions would you have for people newly diagnosed?"
If you are newly diagnosed, the answers to the above two questions can be of great help to you. I have created a special page for each question and it's answers. In a second, I will give you two links, one for each question.
But first, you'll need support as well. Both from family and friends as well as from other people who have Crohn's Disease.
There is a page on this site devoted to giving you links to organization and websites from which you can get a lot of good support. Don't be shy about contacting the organization or going on a Crohn's Disease message board. These people understand what you are going through.
If you want to start with getting support, here's a link to the right web page on this site to help you connect. To go to that site, click here .)
