Having a hard time

HI , i was diagnosed with crohns 2 years ago when i had a severe abscess somewhere in there, 3 spots with legions and had to have surgery . After being on prednisone for 6 months and immuran now for almost 2 years . I only had a lil flare .

But now for the last 3 weeks, the spot where they cut open the abcess (it was just barely inside from rectum)
hurts every day . Anything that would cause me to flex the muscles we have at the end , like if i sneeze , or end peeing etc hurts me .

It feels raw and like something is stuck there but there is not , the last time i had this , they did a colonosopy but said they found nothing , although i could feel the pain .

It feels like the abcess i had back then created a small hole or tunnel where stuff gets in and i think thats what makes me hurt so bad there.

when the food moves through me in last 3 weeks, even tho i got the bad pain at end, it doesnt seem to hurt really whe moving through me. But ive noticed that im not digesting stuff very well at all anymore , see alot of food in toilet , and stool is back to being totally unformed, even tho i take the anti diarea pills daily.

My doctor for crohns really has not been very helpful , they hardly ever see me , and tell me nothing , ive gained more knowledge off the internet. its like she dont care.

I was just wondering, has anyone experienced anything like this? where they have a pain that feels raw and very sore and swollen just barely inside , around the muscles at end . its just odd because its the exact spot where i had the severe abcess about 2 years ago and had surgery there.

I just dont feel good, no energy , no motivation, i just want to lay in bed all day , fingernails starting to get lots of ridges in them, i was told that was due to lack of iron , is it safe for me to just buy a supplement pill for vitamins as a crohns person? Or is there only a certain type i should get, not the cheap walmart vitamins?

my email is krichel @ mchsi.com if anyone out there wants to email me , i really dont got nobody to talk to bout this.

Help for Crohn's
by: Anonymous

Vitamin D3 deficiency is a major factor for Crohn's. I take 8,000 - 10,000 I.U. a day,
devided by two, 2x a day.

Try like myself taking the above dosage, but always
with a spoon of Flax or Fish oil, to optimize absorption. Vitamin D will give you energy. Eliminate sugars and replace with Honey
in everything! Honey is a mono-saccharides, and easily
digested by Crohn's afflicted bowels, therefore less
bacterial growth that causes inflammation.
Try also take 1/2 tspn of Manuka Honey, on empty stomach 1 hour before a meal. It heals any wound inside and outside the body!!! I tried it when I had
pain from Crohn's attack, and the pain was gone.($12 a small jar) but lasts for a long time.
SUGARS- IN ANY FORM, IS EXTREMELY HARMFUL TO THE
INFLAMED BOWELS OF CROHN'S SUFFERERS.
Try to avoid smoking, and coffee only once a day or every other day!
Instead of coffee, to be alert and awake, put a dash or two of CAYENNE PEPPER
into 1/2 cup of warm water, or into salads, soups, any dishes. It does
wonders! It also takes pain away!!!

You will not regret implementing the above suggestions, as you are getting
them from a Crohn's sufferer like yourself, who is mature in years, and with
experience, and who has tried everything.
I have many more helpful suggestions for emergency situations.

Check with your G.P. your thyroid level,
and hemoglobin level as well.
You might need Iron pill (better from vegetable
source), www.vitacost.com sells them cheaply - Item #CTL4026594. Take 3 a day with vitamin C - 500-1000 mg, for 3 months.

TIME FOR A NEW DOCTOR
by: Anonymous

IT APPEARS THAT YOU HAVE A RECURRING ABCESS WITH A FISTULA LEAKING NEAR YOUR RECTUM AND THE CROHNS PROBABLY SPREAD TO OTHER PARTS OF YOUR COLON, WHICH IS COMMON. YOU NEED MEDICINE NOW. TRY REMICADE OR HUMIRA AND LEARN ALL ABOUT YOUR CROHNS HISTORY. HOW BAD IT WAS AND WHERE EXACTLY WAS IT IN YOUR INTESTINE. RESEARCH AND TREAT ACCORDINGLY. OH YEAH, GET A REAL DOCTOR. BUT THE DOCTOR CAN'T HELP YOU IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING. SO RESEARCH, RESEARCH, RESEARCH.

B12 shots
by: Anonymous

I am going to try the fish oil since i have read so much about it. I have been sick again for about 4 months and have yet to see a specialist, although I have been waiting for months. I have been getting B12 shots bi-weekly to help with the low energy. My doctor has said buying vitamins is a waste of money since we tend to not digest them quick enough. The shot gets the iron into our system quickly with none of the stomach problems associated with iron pills.

The pain you're describing sounds like you may have a hemorrhoid.

It is me again just adding something
by: Christian

Hey , this is crazy but after reading the site yesterday , after i wrote my story , i got some omega 3 fish oil with that stuff in it and well i woke up today and im not kidding , i feel so good , no pain at all back there, zero. I can't come up with any other reason why the inflammation has gone down so fast and much , as i did nothing else different in my daily routine . So fish oil for me daily it is !
