To Mia in Queens, N.Y. about Entocort.
I am a Crohn's Disease sufferer and have been for over 40 years, two major surgeries. When I was diagnosed they did not have a name for the disease, just called it Regional Enteritis.
On Entocort, I have been on it for over 5 years and have had no side effects. I think it has helped me to some extent but hasn't kept me out of the hospital. You are on the right track if you are going to a GI specialist because they know just what to do. A colonoscopy helps a great deal to find out how things are really doing in your lower gut..I get one every year. Follow your doctors advice, excercise and eat good food. You are young and should be able to keep your disease under control.
