seton painful ?

by priya
(london)

I had a seton inserted for a rectovaginal fistula about 4 weeks ago and was told it would only be uncomfortable.
It is still painful and I can't go back to work (sitting the whole day).
Is it normal ? Any advice on this ?
thanks
