scaring tissue after surgery

I HAD SURGERY 5 MONTHS AGO AND HAD A CAT SCAN THIS WEEK. THEY SAID I HAD A STICH CAUSEING TISSUR SCARING. I HAVE HAD FOR A MONTH PULLING IN MY SIDE.IS THIS NORMAL TO HAVE THIS?
