I have been taking Mesalamine and it works well with my digestive system, but it has caused lots of side effects. The main side effect is a rash on various parts of the body along with itching. I have tried different mesalamines ( pentasa, asacol, apriso) They all have caused this rash. I have looked at other crohn's treatment options, but they all seem to have more serious side effects. What can I do. (Take the meds. = digestive good, skin rash) or (don't take meds. = skin good, digestive bad)
Is there anyone else in this situation? What options are out there?
