HOT BATH

A very hot bath seems to ease my pains for a little while. I take several hot baths per day.

I'm so glad you have found something that works for you. I however am so afraid of the narc's and the side effects I just can't take them anymore. So I am still using cannabis. It works well. Of course I can't do that all the time, driving to run errands stoned isn't something I practice.
I also enjoy talking to all of you with this disease and can be reached at . Biteme987@aol.com
Make it a good day. Cheryl

Hi,
Oxycontin 10mg and Dilaudid 2mg for breakthrough pain works for me. Ask your GI. I also am on Remicade, and it seems to be working. Please feel free to e mail me. I enjoy meeting new people that suffer like me. I wrote an article in here... its titled "Help for this Hellish disease". Hope you are feeling well. I pray for all of us who have to live like this. ~Amanda (trashyflamingo27@aol.com)

Wow, very nicely put. I'm so sorry for your long battle with percription meds. I know too many people hooked on them which is why I smoke pot. Why the rest of the world can't see that this is a much safer, natural, alturnative to perscribed pain meds just frustrates me. It has been deemed the evil weed and made ileagle there for it must be very bad for you, that is a crock. I have never herd of anyone dieing from an overdose of marajuna unlike the perscription meds that have taken the life of 3 people I was very close to. Including a 19 yr old nephew. I chose to put it in my pipe and smoke it.
Sorry for the bad spelling!

Be Careful...

I'm a thirty two year old man who's had this disease since I was nine. Pain has always been an issue for me. In high school I used to take Ibuprofen but at that time I was unaware that this was a bad idea. Eventually I was put on Darvocet because it is better for the GI sensitive. Long story short twelve years and two resections later I've been prescribed evertying from Vicoden, Morphine, Dilaudid, Tylenol 4's, Percocet, and Oxycontin. All because they are easier on the GI tract. They are also EASY TO GET HOOKED ON!! I've spent the last year and a half getting off my Methadone (that was used to get me off my other narcs) and it's been hell. Take my advice. Only use the pills if it's a last resort. Otherwise do what god intended... USE CANNABIS! Smoked, eaten or vaporized, it works! It increases appetite, eases pain, and eases depression related to having Crohn's. What's worse, taking doses of legal pharmacutical heroin, or smoking a joint? I hope this helps someone.

HEY THERE PAIN MEDS

I HAVE BEEN ON PAIN MEDS FOR SEVERAL YEARS.
WHAT WORKS BEST FOR ME IS NORCO 10/625. I TAKE THREE PER DAY AND USUALLY BEFORE MEALS. REASON IS I AM ALMOST ALWAYS IN THE BATHROOM AFTER MEALS SO I WANT THE EFFECT OF THE MEDS BEFORE MY BM'S.

BENEFITS: NORCO CAN HELP WITH DIARHEA, MAKES ME DROWSY SO I CAN GET TO SLEEP FASTER AND SLEEP BETTER, CAN GET TO WORK AND FAMILY EVENTS. BASICALLY FUNCTION DAILY AND AN IMPROVED QUALITY OF LIFE.

I HAVE HAD FIVE BOWEL RESECTIONS ALSO.

Ive found by accident that Tramadol or Ultracet stops mine from hurting. They were given to me for the bad joint pain from the Prednisone and it was the only thing i had available during a flare-up.. it worked. They say its non narcotic.. im just glad it works and i can still function when on them.
