HAS ANYONE BEEN ON THIS FOR THEIR JOINT PAIN ASSOCIATED WITH CROHNS. MY CONSULTANT WANTS ME TO GO ON THIS BUT I AM NERVOUS AS I WAS REALLY ILL ON SULPHASALAZINE, AND IT HAS PUT ME OFF TAKING ANY MORE TABLETS.

I'm very sorry to hear about your disease. I have Crohn's as well, diagnosed 2.5yrs ago with 3 surgeries, all the meds and no luck. I don't want to sound like a downer, but my experience was:
Immuran-made me so sick I had to smoke copious amounts of marijuana just to stop vomitting
Pantaza-I have agressive disease so it isn't strong enough to treat me
Steroids-I get steroid psychosis, which is awful and I can't live in the hospital for the rest of my days, so it's another that I can't take
Methotrexate- well...I was admitted to the hospital for 1 1/2mos from that damn drug! I was vicoiusly sick on the med.
All that's left for me is biologicals such as Humira or Remicade. Which to add to this mess is ONLY for pt.'s in remission, which I cannot seem to get into because the meds that are used to put you in remission DON'T WORK for me.
I hope one works for you, I really do! My doc's tell me it's very uncommon for all of them to have such adverse reactions but unfortunately for me they do. They are doing another surgery soon to hopefully get me into remission and be able to start the biologicals so I can finaly get healthy.

I live in Australia and I am about to go on the same drug for chronic bone and joint pain, to the point where I can not stand on my feet with out pain, it feels as though my bones in my feet are cracking. I am a bit concerned about this drug and I already taske imuran and sulphasalazine along with other drugs. I am seeing my specialist in two weeks .
