Is there any type of added coverage out there in case I become disabled?

by Julie
(Louisiana)

Hi- after recently being diagnosed with Crohn's Disease, I am trying to get my duck's in a row... I am a teacher and have Short & Long Term Disability plans. However, I have heard of Disability Insurance as a supplement if ever I become disabled and am forced to retire. The few phone calls I've made says that I would probably be rejected/denied-- does anyone out there have any suggestions or companies to try?
