I was told by my surgeon that there is nothing wrong with taking it everyday. However if constipation is an issue with you, I would suggest taking a little mineral oil along with it to help prevent blockage.

I take a similar amount each day and more if I have to go out in public anywhere but this is due to active Crohn's disease. I've had Crohns for 5 years and despite trying every drug there is - I'm currently on Tacrolimis - i am yet to experience a remission. Maybe you have active disease still, ha e you had a recent scope check up?
My docs are going to do a stem cell transplant to try and control the disease so I'm hoping imodium will be a thing of the past once they've done the transplant.
My doc also told me I can take as much Imodium as I need to control the symptoms so I wouldnt worry about your dosage too much.

Hmm I do not know your situation but there must be something else that you can take because if you have to take that much, my guess would be that it is not working.
