symptoms
by: Anonymous

Hi, Donna the pain you felt in your right abdomen sounds familiar only my crohn's is in the left did you have the urge to go to the toilet and found that this stopped the pain, the pain is not instant when you eat with crohns it takes a while after eating food other symptoms are mouth ulcers aching legs finding it hard to walk loss of appetite weight loss night sweating and red spots on the legs this may sound daft but I could always smell cabbage when having a flair up if you are worried i would go to your doctor and ask him to check the rate your body is fighting infection he will do this by taking a blood test and checking the levels in your blood, hope that helps
I first started with symptoms like yours but had to go to the toilet about half an hour after i ate also it lasted about 2 weeks and it wasn't till a year it returned to full blown crohn's

Chron's, IBS? What is it?
by: Anonymous

Chron's is a very specific disease, look it up on the internet and read all about it. It would take much more that this experience to make a diagnosis of chron's. You could also be suffering from IBS, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, which also sounds like your symptoms. Pain meds tend to constipate and make things feel worse and you could have been very constipated and the pain could be the bowels spasming as mine do with the IBS, with pain that sounds like yours. Get a clear diagnosis. Chron's has so many other symptoms and it really complicated. Don't go there if you don't have to. If it is Chron's, then learning as much about it now is the best thing you could do for yourself. Learn the do's and don'ts about it so you don't further any sypmtoms with improper diet and the use of too many pain meds. Good luck with that, hoping it was just a fluke and nothing serious.
