Does my husband have Crohn's Disease?

by Stacy
(ND)

Three years ago my husband devolped sever abd pain which he was found to have so much inflammation in his small intestine that it was almost swelled shut. The biopsies of the endoscopies showed above normal eosinophils. They started treating him for eosinophilic gastroenteritis. He has flare ups almost every two months and it on very potent medications that are making him ill. His last flare up a new gastro doc said he believes he could have crohns disease and was misdiagnosed earlier. Is this possible? Can you have elevated eosinophils with flare ups of crohns? He does not have diarrhea, he just has extreme epigastric area pain.
