Crohn's & Working
by: JoAnnne

I was working and my job was working with my illness until the hurricane Rita hit Lake Charles LA in 2005. Me and my husband bought our first real brick home and moved out of our mobile home. Well make a long story short hurricane Rita took out 51% of our new home and my job found a way to let me go from my job. They told me that it was because lack of business, but it was because of my illness and I couldn't find a job because of my health. I found work, but illness stop me. I filled for SS disability in 2005 and was denied I am still fighting with attorney. But, for you get all your medical records everything and all the information you can get on crohn's and file for SS disabilitiy and medicaid for your medision, if they turn you down get a attorney and fight. Get on food stamps and see if you can get welfare and section 8 or housing. There a lot of programs out there just ask at all the places I just told you about. Some one will help you. The Mason or Shriners, VFW and Red Cross will give you information. Good Luck I will pray that you will have better luck than I have had. But I have been told they can only fight me 4 more months on my disability.
