Back Pain

by Sheila
(Noblesville)

I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease last November. One of my chief complaints is back pain and body aches in general. Recently I have developed issues with my sciatic nerve and major pain going down my leg. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this part of the disease or something else?

Back Pain
by: Alina

Hi, my Crohn's was diagnosed due to extended throbbing lower back pain. In my case, it looks like my Crohn's has triggered ankylosing spondylitis. I also have knee pain, accompanied by swelling.
What worked miraculously for me was B3. I remember the night after the 1st day I took it: i could finally sleep all through the night without waking up from pain at all. Make sure you take B3 that doesn't provoke a flushing effect - it's called Niaciamide.

What also worked great in my case is Zn-Carnosine. It took my lower back pains like magic!!! I personally rotate them: 2 weeks one, 2 weeks the other.

Good luck!!!!

Back and Joint Pain
by: Anonymous

I have terrible back and deep joint pain. Part of mine is degenerative disk and facet joint disease but the deep joint pain is the crohns. It is so painful and of course having crohns you know we can not take anti inflammatories. You may want to try putting a memory foam on your mattress. I take Klonipin for the deep joint pain and it helps.

I have crohn's for 11 years. The deep joint pain started about 3 years ago.

Good Luck and feel better.
